Join us for an interactive workshop that provides a myth-shattering framework for understanding poverty. The Bridges model is a powerful platform for building relationships of mutual respect, working together with those living in poverty to develop strategies, creating a community where everyone can thrive. Changemakers include (but certainly are not limited to): HR professionals, business leaders, churches/ faith communities, local law enforcement, schools/ K-12 educators, nonprofit leaders, human services professionals, local government officials, banking community, higher education, & healthcare professionals)
Participants will:
- Examine the impact of poverty on families & communities
- Explore the hidden rules of economic class Identify ways to improve relationships & interactions
- Develop new tools and strategies to better address individuals’ needs
- Discuss stability within family & support systems, and the importance of building social capital
